The store will run from 7:20 until 7:50 all week-Dec. 14-18, and again will be in the annex. Prices of items will range from $.25 to $3.00. This includes school supplies and gift items. There are ties for dad, and tote bags for mom, candy jars just to name a few. There are items for siblings also. Please remember that all proceeds will benefit Relay for Life.

All chaperone applications are due on December 16 and all chosen chaperones will be posted on the Driftwood blog on December 18. You must complete an application if you are interested in joining your child on this educational experience. So many things.... So little time
The next two weeks are jam packed with activities for fifth grade.... here is a quick update. Tuesday Dec. 8: We will be going to the symphony. Please dress up. NO SHORTS OR JEANS THAT DAY. The performance is at Lassiter Concert Hall. We will be leaving at 9:30 and returning by 12. Lunch is changed that day so please plan accordingly if you wish to have lunch with your child on that day. Lunch is at 12:36. Wednesday Dec. 9: Immigration Day This is an all day event. Students should come to school in costume. We will eat lunch in our classrooms. Thursday Dec. 10: Chick Fil A day benefitting Relay For Life Monday Dec. 14: Spelling Bee in the ILC (Emma Helton and Ryan Driemeyer will be representing our class. Good Luck!) Tuesday Dec. 15: Geography Bee in the ILC (Emma Helton will be representing our class and Jack Kappel is our runner up Good Luck!) Friday Dec. 18: Holiday Sing 8:15 in the cafeteria. Our class party will be that day. We are planning on having pizza for lunch for the children. Please plan accordingly if your child does not eat pizza. Details regarding the party will be sent out via the room parents next week. Science: the atoms brain pop video. Complete the quiz. Print it out and hand in to me tomorrow.
Math: math workbook pg 558. there are only two problems. just try them. Reading: Read 20 minutes. Biography book must be read and completed by this Friday. Jamie Reminder that early registration ends tomorrow, Friday Oct 23rd, to guarantee custom race day shirts by Tritt's own alumni, Lindsay Boseman. Registration prices will increase after Friday but will be open through Sat, Nov. 7 (race day). All students who run will be entered in a raffle to wear a student size tiger costume and wave to morning car pool arrivers and be on the announcements (one winner per grade level)! Also, the teacher with the highest percentage of participation will receive an extra planning time while administration teaches a lesson or two! Mrs. Bower's class will be singing the national anthem with Brian B Rockin' Adams DJ'ing. Registration is available online through Tritt PTA website and paper registration forms are attached along with additional information.
